Wedding Party: Melanie Deas, a Musical Muse

Mayra thought that she was from the south, until she met Melanie, a native of Tupelo, Mississippi. Melanie has more energy, even than Mayra. Not only is she a very talented singer, she has also exhibited her acting, producing, directing, and administrative talents whilst organizing the Lowell House opera at Harvard and working for Tufts University at the Office of the Provost and Overseers. After twenty years, she has returned recently to Mississippi to be the Executive Director of the Link Centre where she will no doubt, reinvigorate the arts. Melanie’s AB at Harvard was in Literature and History; she has her Masters in Drama from Yale University. |
